    Sierra Leone Times
    Thursday 9th September, 2010
    (IANS)

At least 10 people were killed and eight injured Thursday morning as a passenger van struck a landmine in northwest Pakistan's Kurram tribal area.

All the injured have been shifted to a hospital in the area, Xinhua reported.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Local TV channels reported that the landmine was exploded through a remote control device, adding that the blast happened at a time when the people were returning home to celebrate Eid festival due his week-end.
